Teddy and Buddy wrestle for hours
Buddy, a golden retriever puppy, has just arrived and is told to wait on the bed. Teddy, a giant Alaskan Malamute, is about to come say hello. more
Teddy walks in, and the play starts at once. "Who's this, Teddy?" By the owner's count it has only been about four days, but nobody told the dogs that.
It begins on the bed, where the two trade play bites. Teddy is a giant and Buddy is not, which does not slow Buddy down at all.
Eventually the wrestling moves to the floor, and Teddy grabs a stuffed toy. He's not giving it up. Buddy tries his best to get it back but is no match for a malamute's grip, and when Teddy drops it for a moment, the cheering section is firmly on the puppy's side: "Come on, Buddy, get it."
Teddy climbs back onto the bed with the toy still in his mouth. Buddy is too small to make that jump alone, so the owner gives him a lift.
Up there, things go quiet for a little while. The two lick and sniff each other, and the owner calls it what it looks like, kissing. "It's so cute."
The quiet doesn't last. Soon they are play-biting again, and at one point Teddy has Buddy's whole head in his mouth, which gets an "Oh my goodness" from the owner. That part made some viewers nervous, while others saw how much the little one trusts his big friend.
SaveIt gets rowdy enough that Teddy is asked, twice, whether he plans to push Buddy off the bed. Through all of it he plays the gentle big brother. He may not stay the bigger one forever, though, because Buddy is growing fast.
According to the owner, this goes on for about five hours. Then the two of them get tired and have a little snooze together.
