Andrey Musienko has been with Akela from the start, and he still goes into the enclosure to play. Akela does not wait for an invitation. He hops right onto Andrey's back.

From there it turns into a wrestling match. Akela chews on Andrey's hoodie, plants his front paws on his friend's shoulders and puts his whole weight into it. Andrey keeps smiling and tries to keep up, which doesn't look easy.

A large gray wolf in an indoor enclosure, with a young adult male wearing a dark green hooded jacket with white drawstrings standing nearby. The headline runs in white letters across the lower third. — Akela was a tiny puppy once, about the size of any other.

Playful nips are part of the game, and Andrey doesn't seem to mind having his fingers in a wolf's mouth. There is real trust there. One viewer suggested a better title would be four minutes of a man getting bullied by a giant wolf.

When Andrey starts speaking Russian, plenty of people decide that explains everything. Others joked that in this friendship, it's the wolf who has the pet.

In the wild, wolves like Akela hunt in packs across North America, Siberia and northern Europe. Akela's pack is one patient man in a hoodie. Andrey hopes to build him an even bigger enclosure, with more room to run.
