A canoe rescue for a crow that couldn't swim

One morning, Robert looked out his window and saw a bird floating in the water. Crows can't swim, and this one was drowning. more

Robert, a professional photographer who loves adventure, couldn't tell whether it was a crow or a raven. He had already decided to help anyway.

From his window, Robert spots a dark bird sitting low in the water.

He moved fast. A neighbor had lent him a canoe, and he had it on the water in less than a minute. A friend went along.

The bird was still afloat when they reached it. They lifted it out gently with a paddle and set it down with care.

It was still weak, but it was feeling better. Robert put out some pieces of bread for it to eat. Then the crow spread its wings and flew off.

Robert was glad he could save it. Plenty of crow lovers are sure this bird will remember the face of the man who paddled out for it.
