Black panther knocks her human into the snow
Luna is a black panther, Venza is a Rottweiler, and a forest deep in snow is their playground. The people who brought them along are fair game. more
Luna was born in a zoo in Siberia, and her mother rejected her at birth. She wouldn't even feed her. Victoria, who rehabilitates wild cats, took the cub in, and that's how a black panther came to share a home with a Rottweiler named Venza.
On this winter walk the snow is heavy and both animals want to play. "Stop it," someone calls to the pair. "Don't start a fight on me."
Luna moves like a black streak across the white. With one playful leap she hits Victoria and knocks her down into the snow. Fans replay this part, and one says Luna would make a good rugby player. "Playing with you is dangerous for health," comes the verdict, and then a practical thought: "It's good that the phone is waterproof."
SaveSomeone takes a bite of the clean snow. "I hope no bird peed on it," they say, and then the review comes in. "Very tasty, Siberian ice cream."
Venza has work to do, because the Rottweiler loves a good stick. Luna watches, and soon the panther has one of her own. "She took a stick too," someone says.
Then Venza bites down on a log, maybe the biggest stick a dog has ever tried to carry. "Venza, take a log," comes the cheer. "Let's go." Fans call Venza a lumberjack and a beaver, and it fits.
SaveThe panther isn't done with ambushes, either. "Did she catch you?" a voice asks, and the answer comes back, "I fell into a leopard trap."
Later, Luna and Victoria sit down side by side in the snow and stay there for a while. Both animals hold still for photos like a pair of pros, right up until, as someone puts it, "The models ran away."
Luna saves her best trick for last. She brushes past Victoria and is gone, lost in all that white. Victoria finally finds her tucked under a snow-covered tree, while Venza waits nearby for the panther to come out and play.
