A hedgehog helps a puppy through her first bath

Plenty of dogs hear the word bath and head the other way. Prickles the hedgehog happens to love it. more

Hazel is one of three Havanese puppies on Animal Planet's Too Cute, and the only girl. Her two brothers do everything together, which leaves her out. Then, for the first time, she notices a stranger, a hedgehog named Prickles.

Prickles gives a little hop, and she has noticed Hazel too. All she has ever wanted is a fluffy friend like that. The trouble is that a spiky gal tends to scare new friends away.

Lunch helps them both forget about being left out. Hazel is not wild about her own food, so Prickles kindly shares her fruit, and Hazel is delighted. The catch is that fruit is sticky, and a sticky puppy needs her first bath.

Hazel isn't so sure about any of this. Then Prickles shows up, wet quills and all, to prove that bath time can be a ball. She makes the point by turning into one, rolled up so tight that her face nearly disappears.

Soon Hazel is coming around. The silky puppy and the spiky hedgehog, each a little left out at the start, finally have something to share, and of all things it is a bath.
