The kitten who shares a couch with two big dogs

In this house, the smallest one on the couch is a kitten, and the kitten isn't the least bit scared. more

The other two are big dogs, a golden retriever and a German shepherd. Most kittens would keep their distance from dogs that size. This one, white with black and brown markings, stays right in the middle of things. The three of them play together, snuggle together and rarely seem to be apart.

Most of the fun happens on one beige couch that was not built for all three. The golden retriever stretches out with a tongue hanging loose. The shepherd settles in alongside, and the kitten takes whatever room is left between them.

Big dogs come with big paws, and now and then one lands on the kitten. Fans say the dogs look out for their little housemate all the same. One commenter joked that the kitten's only real question is why everyone keeps licking.

The moment people love to bring up is a small one. The shepherd gives the kitten one gentle nudge, and the kitten goes right off the edge of the sofa.

By the end, all three are resting on the couch together again. The kitten lies between the two dogs, three heads close.

The kitten is no small dog, whatever the dogs may think. Still, it's hard to picture any of the three without the other two. Someone has already suggested casting them in the next Homeward Bound movie, and they wouldn't need much direction.
