The piano-playing beagle and his backup dancer

It looks like any other day at home, with hardwood floors and big windows full of light. The beagle mix in the black harness with white stripes is Buddy Mercury, and he does not stay in the audience for long.

Buddy goes to the piano without a moment's doubt, as if he has been practicing when nobody is around. He sits up beside the glass door with his paws on the keys, tips his head back and sings.

He seems to press the keys one note at a time, moving his paws as he goes, and he lets out long howls to go with them. People hear the blues in it. One listener is sure he was a French opera singer in a past life.

Meanwhile the toddler dances, wiggling in her pajamas and having a fine time while the dog pours his heart into the song. His tail wags, and so does she.

Later Buddy stands up on his hind legs, front paws pressing the keys, and the show goes on. The little girl keeps dancing, and nobody in the room seems to be in charge of the music except the beagle.

When the song ends, the verdict is "incredible, incredible," and there are treats for a good boy and a good girl. One fan has a new problem at home. Their dog saw this, and now he wants a piano.
