Too tired to run, a Great Dane rides in a wagon

Luther the Great Dane sets out running beside his owner's bike. He's a very big dog in a fur coat, though, and fur coats are hard work on a warm day. more

His owner has a plan for that. He made Luther a wagon that hooks up behind the bicycle, and he gave it a name, Luther's Waggin. The idea is simple. Luther gets his time outside without getting too hot.

At first Luther runs along beside the bike on the dirt path. Then he starts to slow down, and then a little more. One viewer's Great Pyrenees does the same thing, slowing down and down until the walk is in slow motion.

A little later, Luther is riding in the wagon, sitting calmly while his dad does the pedaling. Just how a dog that big folds himself in stays a mystery. He sits back and lets someone else do the work.
