Wolf mix and German shepherd pup go two rounds
In one corner, Smokey, a seven-year-old timberwolf and malamute mix who weighs nearly 130 pounds. In the other, Charlie, a German shepherd puppy who weighs 20. more
Charlie is ten weeks old, and the size gap does not slow him down. He goes after Smokey again and again while their dad cheers from the side, mostly with the same three words. "Get him, Charlie." Their dad even cut the footage into two rounds, like a real wrestling match.
It is hot, and the ground is mostly bare dirt. "I think he's going to need a bath," their dad says early on. Later he calls Smokey over to wipe off his tongue. "Look how much dirt's on his tongue."
Smokey is holding back, and it shows. He ends up flat on his back in the dirt with Charlie right beside him, and when he does use his size, it's to give the pup a push. Their dad tells Charlie not to let Smokey do that to him.
SavePlenty of viewers scored the match for the puppy and said the wolf never stood a chance. Others kept coming back to how gentle Smokey is, and a couple couldn't stop looking at Charlie's ears, which haven't stood up yet.
Near the end, their dad calls Charlie over for a pet and finds out what Smokey has been doing to him all along. "Gosh, you're covered in slobber." A little later he turns to the big dog. "What do you think, Smokey? Do you like him?" The slobber on Charlie seems like answer enough.
