A "Baby Shark" Christmas, with reindeer sharks

Santa Shark is "Baby Shark" with a Santa hat and a sleigh to fill. The tune is the one plenty of toddler parents can hum in their sleep. more

It starts soft, with gentle music and a few long notes. Then comes the big change from the original. Santa Shark gets seven ho's in a row, where everyone else in the song gets "do, do, do." He swims through a cartoon sea full of ornaments, candy canes and starfish.

Then the helpers arrive. The reindeer sharks get a verse, and so do the elf sharks, each with its own round of "do, do, do." After that the song walks through the work of the season in words a small child can shout: making toys, wrap them up, load the sleigh.

Bells ring, a voice calls out "It's Christmas," and the song changes gear. The original "Baby Shark" has its chase, and this one still has a dash near the end, with "swim away" and then "swim faster" as the music picks up speed.

Santa Shark comes back for one last round of ho's before a cheerful "Merry Christmas." The song comes from Super Simple Songs, and it's all cartoon this time, with no real kids on the set. The whole thing is over in less than three minutes, short enough to sing again when someone small asks. Someone small will ask.
