Ava and her excitable Christmas dragon

Ava's friend is a dragon named Edgar, and the title of his story gives fair warning about him. He's excitable. more

"Excitable Edgar" is a Christmas ad from John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners, and it's a small story about the two of them. Snow comes down through the night, and Ava watches it from a window edged in white.

The story is animated, and it gets plenty of laughs out of a dragon who can't keep calm. It saves its warmth for the friendship between him and Ava.

A song runs under it all. It sings of a friendship that has grown strong, and then, "I can't fight this feeling." Those are fair words for a dragon who gets this excited.

In the end, one thoughtful gesture brings about a big change, and it leads to a perfect Christmas. Even a Grinch would have trouble keeping a straight face.
