Her husband is sure E-Y-E-S spells E-yes
Michelle Bartlett starts with an easy one. She asks her husband what Y-E-S spells, and he gets it right away. more
Next she asks what E-Y-E-S spells. He doesn't hesitate. "E-yes." Michelle falls apart laughing.
He has no idea what just happened. "What is happening?" he asks. So she starts over, Y-E-S and then E-Y-E-S, and he gives the same answer, just as sure as before. She laughs even harder.
SaveNow there are tears, and he wants to know what she is crying for, and then what she is doing. She manages to get out, "Okay, try again."
Y-E-S is still yes. This round, though, E-Y-E-S comes out sounding something like "ease." That's not it either, and by now Michelle can hardly breathe.
SaveHe never gets cross. He just looks puzzled and a little worried, and when her laughing gets louder he starts laughing too, with no idea what is so funny.
So he slows down. He traces the letters in the air with his finger, E, Y, E, S, sounding them out one at a time. His eyes go wide. "Eyes."
SaveFans love his laugh when it finally clicks, and the look on his face the whole way there. The most liked comment says he seems like a very, very good guy. Lots of others admit that "eyes" is not nearly as fun to say as "E-yes."
