Baby moose plays in a sprinkler until it breaks
On a hot summer day, a baby moose finds a sprinkler going in someone's backyard. more
It's a neat yard, with birch trees and red birdhouses on the trunks. The calf runs back and forth through the spray and lets it cool him off, the way any kid would.
SaveSomewhere along the way, he changes the sprinkler's setting. How he pulls that off is anyone's guess, and he does it more than once.
All that running makes for a thirsty calf. He walks over to a metal bucket of water by a birch tree and drinks. Each time the sprinkler swings back around and sprays him, he gets a little spooked.
SaveOnce he has had his fill, he goes right back into the spray. Anyone who grew up with a lawn sprinkler knows that routine.
Between rounds he stops to graze beside a birch with a rope wrapped around its trunk. The sprinkler keeps on going without him.
SaveIt doesn't have to wait long. Soon he is walking across the lawn toward the spray again.
SaveThis time he runs right up to the sprinkler, and it doesn't survive the visit. He breaks it, then walks away like a kid leaving the scene before anyone finds out.
