Turn around and the big cats play innocent
A wire fence stands between the trainer and the big cats at Big Cat Rescue. That's good news, because each time he turns his back, one of them starts to creep up on him. more
He's at ease around them, and they know him well. He turns his back to the fence, and a tiger starts walking his way.
SaveThen he turns around. The tiger stops cold, as if just passing by. The switch from hunting to nothing-to-see-here happens in an instant, and it keeps happening.
From the top of a rock, a tiger looks out through the mesh and keeps watch. The trainer has more than one set of eyes on him.
SaveEvery cat plays the same game. When the trainer looks away, they slip into a hunting pose that anyone with a pet cat has seen. When he looks back, they freeze and act as if nothing was going on at all. Those innocent faces are the favorite part for a lot of people, and one fan gives the white tiger extra credit for playing it off.
SaveA lion tries it too, padding up to the fence. Same plan, same ending. Big Cat Rescue put the video together to show how fast these cats flip from stalking to standing by. It makes a plain point, too. Animals this big should never be pets.
SavePeople have written whole scripts for the moment the cats get caught. In one, a tiger suddenly finds the fence fascinating and wants to know who built it. In another, the tiger only wants to talk about how beautiful the sky is.
