Itchy baby elephant Navann rolls in the mud

Navann is an eight-month-old elephant, and he has an itch on his back. more

He lives at Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. His plan for the itch is a small patch of mud in the middle of the green grass. Down he goes, and over he rolls.

He tries his hardest, but the patch is small. No matter how he turns, he cannot get the mud all over his body.

Navann is an eight-month-old elephant, and he has an itch on his back.

That's a lot of elephant to cover. People who follow Navann call him chubby and plump, and they mean it kindly. One fan calls him a roly-poly baby, which is about right.

When he is done, he stands in the grass with another elephant close by. He stretches his trunk straight out in front of him.

At the park, Navann puts a smile on his caretakers' faces every day. This time it took nothing more than an itch and a little mud.
