Bernese mountain dog watches his bones walk off

Taiyo has a collection of bones, a soft white carpet to lie on and two little Chihuahua sisters. Only one of those things is a problem. more

Taiyo is a Bernese mountain dog, and as the big brother he is expected to be the grown-up. Most days that means looking the other way. Today the puppies go straight for his bones.

Taiyo rests on the carpet, the calm big brother of the house.

The two Chihuahuas have no fear of him at all. Dressed in their sweaters, they pick out bones and munch away right in his face, with a dog many times their size lying close enough to touch.

Taiyo goes from shock to plain disbelief. He watches them chew, and more than one person swears they can hear him grumbling about it.

Then the sisters walk away with the last of the bones. From the look of it, this isn't their first raid, and they always seem to hit the same spot.

What Taiyo doesn't do is get up. He lies in the same place the whole time, as if this happens every day, and he never once goes after them. His whole body says this fight isn't worth it.

Taiyo stays right where he's while his bones disappear.

His humans know exactly what is going on, and they make it up to him with extra food in his bowl. The little sisters can keep the bones. The big brother gets dinner.
