MrBeast sets out to get 14 shelter dogs adopted
Fourteen dogs live at the Furkids animal shelter in Georgia, and MrBeast would like every one of them in a home. more
He starts by introducing every one of them, fourteen names in a row, ending with Kelly, who is really shy. Then comes the harder part, which is getting people to come and look.
The plan isn't subtle. He buys a billboard and has flyers made to hang all over town. Then he buys a box truck for the shelter and has it labeled. It is, he points out, very big.
Before the waiting starts, the crew picks favorites. One of them is getting neck licks, and a debate breaks out over which dog is cuter, Foxtrot or Jive. Then they settle in to watch the cameras and see if the billboard works. They don't have to wait long.
SaveThe first adopter, a woman, falls for Iris right away and decides to take her home on the spot. MrBeast congratulates her with a gift that should last the dog a good while, ten years of free dog food. The crew thinks they caught her so off guard that she didn't know what to say.
A whole family comes next, to meet Gia. She walks into the room with her tail wagging, and it doesn't take them long to say yes. MrBeast thanks them with $5,000, which one of the new owners calls unexpected, to say the least. Gia has been at the shelter for six months, so the staff all come to say goodbye before she leaves.
SaveLater, when the talk turns to more billboards, one of the crew offers to pay, then takes it back the moment anyone believes him. Some of the crew end up adopting dogs of their own. Crew member Chandler grows fond of Jive, and when Jive leaves, he looks glum. Told that he still has his friends, he looks even glummer, which is about as bad as the day gets.
