Two Great Danes have a lot to say about lunch
Lunch is a sandwich on a plate, and the two Great Danes in the room have already decided some of it is theirs. more
One is mostly white with black spots. The other is mostly black with a little white. They are big enough, and spotted enough, that one commenter asked why there are cows in the house.
Their owner fixes himself a sandwich and doesn't hand any of it over. The dogs were counting on a share, and they take the news about as well as a toddler would. His side of it never changes: "You didn't even eat your food. Why you want mine?"
SaveThe louder Dane does most of the talking, in a deep, rumbling complaint that sounds a lot like an argument. "Linda. Listen," the man tries, again and again, and then, "You didn't listen." Fans compare that voice to a lion's roar and to a man who smokes a pack a day. The most-liked comment asks whether something is wrong with his Harley Davidson.
SaveThe second Dane skips the speech and gives him the sad puppy eyes instead. One fan was sure those eyes were trying to hypnotize him into giving up the sandwich. It doesn't work. "I love you," he tells them, "but this is mine."
So the two of them sit side by side on the couch, one talking and one staring. Someone in the room takes their side and speaks for them: "Give us all a piece. We're good boys."
SavePlenty of people side with the dogs. One figured that, in the dog's mind, the man was the one eating somebody else's lunch. Another only wanted to know what kind of sandwich it was.
Near the end, one of the dogs is asked to tell daddy "I love you." After a "What?", a "No" and one more "What?", somebody says it. Then comes an "Okay."
