Pregnant pit bull saved from a dog fighting ring

She was about to become a mother, held captive by an underground dog fighting ring. Then a rescue team found the place. more

The team had tracked down more than the ring itself. They had also found the place where its dogs were being kept, and they went in to bring the dogs out.

Only then did they see how close it had been. One of the dogs was a pit bull, so far along in her pregnancy that her puppies could come any day. They had made it just in time.

She was about to become a mother, held captive by an underground dog fighting ring.

With the dogs out, the ring was shut down. Then the rescuers turned to the next job, finding new homes for the mother-to-be and the other dogs who came out with her.

She left that place with her puppies still on the way, out before a single one could be born there. They'll never know the ring.
