The husky who walked her sister to the door
Kira likes to wait on the couch with her paws crossed, very prim and proper. She's one of three Siberian huskies who live with Jessica in northern Michigan. more
Eleanor, the one with the little puppy bark, sits on the floor and keeps her eyes on her mom. Memphis stands quietly in the living room. All three are waiting for the same thing, and it's outside.
SaveFirst, Jessica spots the little red Jeep out in the driveway. It was the very first Jeep she and Jamie ever bought, but it mostly just sits there now, so it may be going to a new home. "You girls don't care, do you?" she asks. Then, at last, it is outside time.
The dogs take off running, all except Memphis, who decides to trot. Out in the yard, Eleanor goes after the bees, and Jessica is pretty sure she tried to eat one. Jessica calls bees spicy snacks. "You can't eat the spicy snacks," she tells her, because they get you in the nose.
Then comes the best part. "You wanna walk Kira back up to the door?" Jessica asks, and Eleanor grabs her sister by her fake leash and walks her all the way there. "Good job, Eleanor." Jessica figures Kira thinks this isn't fair, and she tells Kira she's right.
SaveLater they all go for a walk. Eleanor and Memphis are so excited they nearly break into a run, and Jessica figures one of them could pull a sled with ease. After a rest, everyone gets dinner.
Then Jessica hears barking in the living room and goes to see whether they are playing or mad. One of the girls has a toy, and her sister wants it, even though there's another toy here and another one there.
SaveApparently it does not matter how many toys there are. "So you just want that toy because she has that toy?" Jessica asks. "Is that all it is?" The rest of the toys stay right where they are, wanted by nobody.
