Baby Mia's crawling coach is a malamute

Mia is so close to crawling. Her knees aren't quite under her yet, so Niko, the family's Alaskan Malamute, steps in to give a lesson. more

Crawling happens to be one of Niko's own favorite tricks, the thing she does when she wants attention. Mia, meanwhile, lies on the bed and babbles away. "She's talking to you," Niko is told.

Then Niko is asked to show how it's done, and she does. She gets down low and crawls along the bed to a steady chorus of "Good, go, good, go."

Her trip ends at the foot of the bed, where she rests her head on her paws and peers over the edge. It is a very good face. Somewhere along the way she also hears, "Don't do that, you big doofus," and then it is time to try again.
