Pit bull mix Hank gets an honest adoption ad
Christine is fostering Hank, and it's time to find him a home. Her adoption ad does not pretend he is a calm dog. more
"Do you think I could go to the bathroom by myself?" Christine asks, and there he goes again. She calls Hank the weirdest little guy she has ever met. He's a pit bull mix, 54 pounds of pure energy with eyes like the ocean and ears that never agree, one up and one down. She wants his adoption ad to be just as weird as he is.
SaveShe knows she has said it already, but Hank has a lot of energy. Some mornings she wonders if he has been sneaking sips of her coffee. He needs a loving, active home, and marathon runners and CrossFit fans are welcome to apply.
He's also very loyal and will keep you company no matter what you are doing. If you brush your hair, he wants to save you from that strange thing called a brush. If you cook, he stands between your legs to keep you safe, which makes him a bit of a tripping hazard.
SaveHank is well trained, more or less. He's still learning, but he knows some basic commands, such as sit, down and shake, and "Oh my god, stop chewing on that." A home that wants to keep training him is highly encouraged.
Other pets will probably be fine. Hank is obsessed with cats, puzzled by fish and loves playing with other dogs, like the ones he plays with in the backyard at home. Your animals just need to be okay with his constant playing and his teenage energy.
SaveHis hobbies include splashing in his own kiddie pool, refusing to go to bed, helping around the house and eating the air. No small children, please, and Texas applicants only. Sorry to the other 49 states, but Hank is a Texas boy through and through.
He may be a little ball of mischief, but his foster family loves him so much. Christine is sure he will find a forever home that is just as wild, goofy, loving and energetic as he is.
