A kitten, a duckling and one small glass bowl

Inside a glass bowl on a bright windowsill, pressed together with no room to spare, sit an orange and white kitten and a yellow duckling. more

The kitten does most of the hugging. He wraps himself around the duckling as tightly as he can and covers her in kisses, which for a cat means a lot of licking. In the wild, cats and ducks aren't on hugging terms, so this bowl is a strange and sweet sight.

Squeezed into one bowl, the kitten leans in close.

At first she seems happy enough with her cuddle buddy. But a kitten is still a kitten, and soon he wants to play. The hugs start to look more like wrestling, and the duckling squirms free and makes her escape.

A lot of people watching take her side. Some feel sorry for her, and one viewer points out that the kitten is enjoying this a good deal more than the duck is.

Then she comes back. The duckling is in the bowl beside him again, and this time the kitten seems to understand that she's not there to wrestle.

The bowl goes quiet, and both of them start to nod off. The duckling does her best to stay awake, then falls asleep in his paws. Before long she lays her head on his chest.
