The night a devil corgi met a bedsheet ghost
Topi the corgi trots to his cousins' house on Halloween with a red devil's trident in his mouth. The real scare of the night is waiting for him in their basement. more
Maxi and Ella, two Chihuahuas in pumpkin suits and pointy hats, hear the doorbell and let him in. Topi has horns on his head and the trident held tight in his teeth, and he still stops dead at all the Halloween decorations inside.
SaveThen the three of them work the neighborhood, door to door, until the jack-o'-lantern basket is full. Back home they pile onto the couch with the candy and a cartoon. That's when the old radio starts making noises all by itself.
The radio goes quiet, and a witch's cackle drifts in from somewhere deep in the house. The TV light fades in and out. Maxi and Ella rush the front door, barking and growling to show they are not scared of anybody. They have barely settled back on the couch when every light goes out, and both of them shoot underneath it.
Topi is the brave one. He lights a lantern and sets off through the dark house, one room at a time, eyebrows climbing at every strange sound. The candle in it turns into a battery one the moment he picks it up, which seems responsible. The only place left to look is the basement.
SaveMaxi and Ella watch him start down the stairs and decide they would rather be scared together. The cackle comes again. Then a light snaps on in a dark corner, and there stands a figure in a white sheet.
All three bolt back up the stairs and cram themselves under the couch. The sheet follows them up and stops right in front of it.
SaveThen the sheet comes off. It's Takku, Topi's girlfriend, who was behind the whole prank. All four of them end the night on the couch with the treat basket, and nobody seems to hold a grudge. Topi's worried face does most of the acting here, and his eyebrows do the rest.
