A barn cat gives a squeaky baby goat a wash

At Sunflower Farm Creamery the barn cat is named Roger, and he serves as the welcoming committee for baby goats. The new kid is Izzy. more

Roger is a long-haired gray cat with green eyes, and he loves to snuggle the baby goats on the farm. Izzy is a Nubian kid, and her mother has decided to share her. Roger makes the most of it.

The two end up together in Hope's lap, out among bare trees and fallen leaves. Roger presses in, nuzzles the little goat and starts to wash her head. His purr is loud. Izzy answers with squeaks, and one viewer says she sounds like a squeaky toy each time he cuddles against her.

Plenty of people think Izzy isn't so sure about Roger yet. Roger doesn't seem to mind. He has a head to clean.

Hope pets them both, and the pair slowly wind down in her lap. Nobody is in a hurry. Roger keeps up the grooming like a cat who has done this before, and one fan calls him a good dad cat for it.

Izzy turns out to be patient with him. She lets Roger lick her and fuss over her, and he takes his welcoming job seriously.
